British Migrants: Instant Australians?

Nick Lewis Design was approached by Melbourne’s Immigration Museum to develop a branding and complete graphics package for the exhibit British Migrants: Instant Australians? Between 1947 and 1981 close to 1.5 million Brits arrived on Australian soil to begin a new life. Their personal stories of hope and hardship, played out under the strong and frequently confronting policies of an Australian government focussed on nation building, have often been overlooked in the telling of Australian migrant history. The design package for the exhibition mirrors the complex, bold and brave experiences of these new Australians.
