[Project]
Royal Australian Mint
The Royal Australian Mint has just undergone its first significant redevelopment in two decades. I was engaged to develop and roll out a visual language strategy to tie the space together across the built form, exhibition content and into the many exciting new coin-themed interactives developed by Junior Major.
This entailed everything from the micro to the macro—from the way the small physical coins are displayed in the showcase layouts up to large environmental graphics and interpretative signage.
The exhibition space was transformed from a bright, cluttered and tired feel to a dark, clean and reverent space where the coins sparkle and glow enticing the visitors to come and inspect them.
This was an exciting and significant redevelopment project to be a part of and hugely rewarding to work closely with the internal Mint and external project teams.
